- Roma has so many things to see that you can easily find quite unknown spots if just walk along some road or alley. I love Gianicolo’s hill, Villa Borghese, Parco Ninfeo di Nerone, Parco di Traiano and a little belvedere called “belvedere degli innamorati”, close to viale del Parco Mellini.
- Firenze, is whorty to see Arno's left side too besides the city centre, there’re less tourists and beautiful gardens, villas, monuments and panoramic views over the city.
- Venezia is like 10 time or more Santiago old centre, so besides the most famous spots the best thing to do in my opinion is to lose your’s way in hidden alleys and islands.
Rural Toscana is one of the best region to enjoy sweet landscape, traditions and good wine, but there're other regions quite similar to enjoy slow life, and maybe with less tourism.
Check Umbria (Perugia's region), Lazio and Marche. All of them are full of little towns, historical monuments, good cuisine and wine, and reasonable prices.
Tuscia historical region is beautiful.

Cities:
Firenze, Siena, and Pisa are worldwide known and don’t need more explications.
Arezzo (La vita è bella, Benigni) and Pistoia are less know but not less nice, with a beautiful historical centre and far less tourism.
Grosseto, Prato, Livorno, Massa and Carrara are almost unknow but with a peculiar interest.
Carrara and its marble worker's history is a city that I love. Here anarchist movement and art had a very interesting interconnection in the past.
