Hello everyone!
I cannot speak or write italian, so I guess it will have to be english.. I just logged in cause my friend Carlos (Voronezh) told me many times about the wonders of this web site, and he suggested me recently to post this question here..
Here I go, hope u can help me, I´m travelling with two other friends to Croatia 25.04 to 02.05. So far I just booked the plane tickets, flying Barcelona-Dubrovnik in 25.04, and the way back Venetia-Barcelona in 02.05.
My original idea was..first day in Dubrovnik, second day Trogir and Split, third day Hvar, the fourth day we would take a bus up north to the Plitvce lakes and sleep there, so in the following morning we would see the lakes and come back to Split to take a ferry to Ancona, then we would rent a car and drive up north to Venetia..uups, too much?
Then I spoke to Carlo and he told me maybe it´s not such a good idea to come back to Split and from there taking the ferry to Ancona, that instead we might just rent the car in Croatia and drive north going through Croatia and Italy until we get to Venetia..
So I´m stucked here, don´t know what to do! What do you think? I heard renting cars in Croatia it´s not so easy anyway.. Do you think we should rent the car for all the days of our trip and drive Dubrovnik-Venetia making all this stops, or rent the car after we see the lakes, and then drive up north to Venetia, or not renting a car at all and consider the ferry option??.. I´m completely stucked here!
I would appreciate the help!
all yours..
